D/FW Airport to Update Terminals

The Dallas Morning News reports the D/FW Airport is planning to update four terminal buildings spending $3 billion in the process. Work is projected to start in 2011 and completion should come in 2017. The airport will use the recently renovated Terminal D as a template for the other terminal buildings.

"While these terminals may not be the perfect size and shape, they do work pretty well," said D/FW Airport chief executive Jeff Fegan. "There is a lot about what we have that we really like, so we wanted to keep the good systems, improve the functionality, and refurbish the interiors to a standard we'd all be proud of."
